In short, if your company are using any version of Primavera P6, this training will be completely relevant. The underlying engine, however, remains virtually unchanged, so migrating from the old style to the new P6 was almost completely painless. It was generally more up-to-date in appearance and abandoned the large ‘Borland’ style buttons (seen to the left) that were so distinctive in the earlier versions.
The last major change to the interface was made back in September 2010 when Primavera released version R8.0 which was sporting an updated interface that included floating tool sets, a tabbed multi-document interface, and a configurable menu and toolbar structure. The basic architecture of Primavera P6 Professional has changed very little in the last few years. What if we aren’t using version R15.2 yet – is this training still relevant? While most of the development effort was expended on the web based Enterprise Project Portfolio Management version, some minor changes to the Professional client were also made.
The release of Oracle Primavera P6 R15.2 was the second and final release of the software for 2015.
